The Houses

Welcome to The Freemen House, a safe, supportive recovery environment. Our hope is that when our residents encounter the dynamic love and practical wisdom woven into the culture of each house they will not only stay sober but be inspired to grow in their spiritual, physical, relational, and emotional journeys.

The Freemen House endeavors to provide structure that creates freedom, offering every resident who comes through the doors the opportunity to enrich their life and build healthy relationships—with God, with others, and most importantly with themselves.
We operate six recovery houses, all conveniently located in downtown Dover or Rochester in highly sought-after locations, and each house is situated close to public transportation and bus routes. Utilities and internet are included, and all houses include a washer/dryer except for Spring House. All our locations feature extremely well-maintained and furnished living spaces that are clean, inviting, and designed to facilitate a strong recovery environment.

When you become a resident, you become a member of a loving and supportive community. You will never be alone. Instead, you’ll have a wealth of resources available to assist you—trained leaders to offer counsel and encourage accountability, mutual support from others on the journey to recovery, accessible drop-in centers, hands-on resources for job searching and obtaining licenses, and much more.

You will always have someone ready and willing to help you figure out the next step—and build toward the step after that, and the one after that.
